ABOUT PETER JOHANSEN

WHEN YOU GET RIGHT DOWN TO IT, I\'M A STORYTELLER! WRITING/PRODUCING: As a writer, producer, field director, content creator, development exec and show runner, I\'ve developed a reputation as a pro\'s pro, a great leader, and a guy who knows how to deliver information to the audience in an informative, entertaining, often-funny, unique and totally digestible way. My career has spanned network news (Today Show,) network and cable late-night comedy (The Late, Late Show, Lopez Tonight, Chelsea Lately) daytime talk (The Talk, The Martin Short Show,) prime time game (America\'s Most Talented Kid,) syndicated info-tainment (Entertainment Tonight,) digital streaming talk (Steve Harvey on Facebook Watch) and now podcasting (Rich and Daily/Wondery.) There isn\'t a genre or day part I haven\'t met. And I love them all. DEVELOPMENT: Spinning straw into gold: I make content better. Whatever the project. And give me a blank slate, and I\'ll make something worth watching. For instance-TelePictures asked me to develop, produce and show-run a pilot for George Lopez. Lopez Tonight was sold to TBS and ran for 2 years-Endemol Shine tasked me with reimagining the NY Post\'s Page Six brand into a television show. Page Six on TV ran for two seasons on Fox-Tegna Media hired me as a Development Executive and Showrunner with the mission of developing a nationally syndicated daytime talk show which would bring an immersive and interactive connection to its audience in a fun, unique way. The result: Daily Blast Live-And in an unusual partnership between daytime syndicator Debmar Mercury and comedy juggernaut Funny or Die, I was brought in to develop and run a daytime talk pilot hosted by Jerry O\'Connell that would service both brands. The result was Jerry O, a pilot that the Fox Stations bought for a summer test run. ACTING (AND I USE THE TERM LOOSELY): I wrote and performed a solo show called \"Sleeping My Way to the Middle: A Hollywood Semi-Success Story\" at the esteemed Whitefire Theater as part of their popular \"Hollywood Shorts\" series. The play is based on a book I\'m writing. I acted in Ed Burns\'s Sundance Winning film \"The Brothers McMullen\", playing Marty. MAKING A DIFFERENCE: And I\'m a husband, father, entrepreneur and CEO. My wife and I have given birth to two things we are very proud of: our son, Kristoffer, and our educational toy company, SmartFelt Toys, which features a line of unique, patented felt play sets that build early language in little ones and which were invented by Yvonne, a speech therapist.
