ABOUT PETER JEPSON

I’m a driven and focused product owner with years of experience in the telecom industry working on a range of agile and waterfall projects. I have a lot of experience working on web and app products spanning over many years in the Digital community as a Tester, Test Manager and Product Owner. I work extremely well under pressure, flexible for change whilst remaining focussed to achieve great results. Throughout my career, I have obtained a variety of skills (including ISTQB certifications) which have helped me progress from strength to strength. I am extremely confident and proficient with many of the agile activities. If there is something I don’t know, I take it on myself to find out. I am able to absorb and retain information really well, digesting information comes natural when doing the job and having both a customer focussed mind set and great knowledge of technical challenges and architecture, it aides the ability to learn and move forward.In term of current work, I am heavily involved in one of BT’s Digital Transformation programmes. This involved building new Digital (Web & App) experiences, on a new tech stack / architecture. This involved leading on (without a scrum master) activities such as big room planning, sprint planning, stand up calls, sprint reviews, retrospective, refinement as well facilitating architectural discussions to remove impediments and blockers. Prior to this I was responsible for a proof of concept for one of the BT products to prove out several hypothesis’ to improve conversion and our customer experience. This was extremely positive and helped set the direction for some of the new product journeys we are transforming. I am very passionate about digital, digital experience, online engagement and I take pride in the work I deliver. This is something I take to any role, any project. Doing just enough, isn’t good enough. I like to challenge myself, stretch myself and aim for better results for both myself and the business.
