I have worked at DLG (previously RBS) Insurance since 2001 and in that time I have worked within MIM, Motor Theft and in the Motor Counter Fraud Department. Currently running a small team targeted on the identification of new fraud rings and emerging fraud types.Referral lead for a department of handlers overseeing all key decisions and litigation, mentoring and coaching team members.I have tested fraud detection software prior to and post implementation. This role has involved the identification of data and scoring issues and the recommendation of fixes. It also led to me moving to the System Referral Team set up to improve frontline detection and investigation of fraudulent claims and develop the Detica Netreveal system further after its initial go live. This role provided me with exposure to home insurance fraud.I developed a separate project to capture induced accidents within the first few days of report and the running of the idea has identified additional benefit of £3million per year at no additional cost to the business.Key investigations include Operation Nacho with Durham police leading to over 60 convictions. One of the first cases accepted by IFED resulting in 4 convictions. A cross industry investigation with Chester CID into staged bus claims resulting in 17 convictions.My role involves:IFR SPOCInvestigation of complex motor insurance fraud. Coordination of fraud ring enquiries.Liasing with external bodies to disrupt organised fraud.Technical referral point.IFIG SPOC Experience presenting evidence and liasing with various police authorities including IFEDSystem and process testing Handling litigated files
