Functional Safety Manager responsible for functional safety across all projects, covering several life cycles’ from front end to validation tests.Highly respected and experienced at working with customers assurance and safety representatives.Significant contribution in assisting the site licence safety department with updating and rationalising the safety requirement specifications, key attendee and major contributor to HAZOP reviews.Review legacy SIS designs, undertaking extensive and significant modifications, implementing new safety requirements and standards.Responsible for managing and mentoring of a dedicated team of EC & I and functional safety engineers, from graduates through to ‘time served’ engineers.Experienced in determining the architecture and control philosophies to be used to provide the required functionality, from front-end engineering design through to detailed design following a gated design process.Reporting to stake holders, ensuing that programmes are delivered to specification, cost and time.Working closely with mechanical engineers ensuring EC & I/mechanical interfaces are engineered correctly.
