ABOUT PETER HASTIE
In my time as an engineer I have had the opportunity to work directly with both customers and operations. This firsthand experience has given me the ability to balance commercial and technical requirements during the development of both projects and products. This has taught me to ask myself what does the customer value and what is feasible. This means that I am able to focus my time and effort to develop product that can delight our customers and beat our competitors in terms of service and delivery.Throughout my time in Greene Tweed I have leaded and managed continues process improvement projects, both from my own initiative and following the lead of my managers. I have been trained to use the Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to guide my way through complex projects toward solid long term savings for the company. As an engineer I see it as my role to make data driven decisions to improve both my output and the output of the company as a hole. I enjoy the dynamic challenge of project management and the frill of working with others to overcome problems and achieve excellence.I have worked in many different positions and markets as an engineer working on the design, manufacturing and inspection of products in accordance with industry regulations. I am a quick learner and have learned to adapt to changes in markets and demands placed on me as an engineer.
