In my current role I have overall responsibility for Elsevier\'s physical sciences journals program, covering areas including chemistry, materials science, physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, environmental sciences, energy and earth sciences. Each subject area is managed by a Publishing Director, with teams of Publishers based across a range of locations including the UK, Netherlands, US, China and Germany. The physical sciences journals program includes a combination of hybrid/subscription and Gold Open Access journals, with both Elsevier-owned and Society-owned titles. It is an exciting and diverse area, with evolving market and community needs, changing business models and author/reader demographics.
