Deliver training programmes in line with identified learning needs and individual learning needs using a variety of equipment and methods including practical exercises, theory sessions and the use of photographic techniques in visually recording crime scenes, to ensure that the Crime Scene Management training meets changing needs, procedures, practices and policies. Instruct on the appropriate examination, package labelling and systematic recording of all evidence at crime scenes, including DNA recovery, body tissue retrieval and latent evidence, and give advice on their submission to the appropriate department, to ensure that evidence is dealt with correctly.Provide an on-going advice service to officers and police staff to ensure that standards in evidence handling are maintained.Maintain all equipment issued and scenes used for the purpose of crime scene management training to ensure the Health & Safety of delegates attending the training and that course delivery remains effective.Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of course content and delivery, making alterations as necessary, to ensure best practice is followed at all times.Coach, support, advise and assess CSIs for development purposes in the workplace to ensure that high levels of competence in crime scene management are developed and maintained.
