As a Quantity Surveyor working for Ian Williams LTD, I have measured, estimated, tendered, and efficiently delivered a variety of different contracts over the last three years. I have also been able to achieve and develop the below skills and attributes over the course of this time. • Successfully completed two secondments. The first working with the Commercial and Procurement team and the second working with the Southampton branch. I am one of few Trainees that have completed two secondments during their training. • Managed a variety of contracts for various clients. These include social housing projects, retirement homes, residential property management companies, MOD property, schools, charities, listed buildings, National Trust buildings, pubs and many more. • Priced tenders to achieve the company’s profit margin target and then tried to identify areas within the scope of works, whereby the contract can make additional profit. • Provided professional and excellent customer service to all clients that I have worked with. Ensured that communication is maintained throughout projects and that repeat works are obtained by delivering projects on time and to a high standard. • Where works within a contract, cannot be facilitated by Ian Williams LTD directly, I have utilised specialist subcontractors to price and deliver works on behalf of us. Sourced and procured subcontractors using a system called “Constructionline” • As well as my secondments, I have assisted the Liverpool, Manchester, and London units with tenders. • Communicate clearly with Head Office functions, members of the unit, site operatives and subcontractors during contracts to ensure smooth progress and successful delivery of works.
