ABOUT PETER GROVES

I love being at the forefront of BIM technology, especially in the field of construction, I’ve always been a technology geek at heart and am keen to learn and adopt new technologies and this is where my passion for the industry stems from. Growing up my father was a developer and I was constantly relocated from building site to building site, living on-site in Caravans as his business and projects grew in scale. This has given me a unique insight into not only the construction process but the stress and strains of running my own business. Upon leaving school I ventured into the field of construction as an Electrician where I began to hone my skills and get to grips with M&E coordination, project management and draughting. After a long stint working on various types of projects from House Bashing to shop fitting to industrial plant installations, I decided to temporarily leave the industry and study the field of Computer Science. Once I returned from University, I returned to construction management taking on roles in project management, estimating, CAD design, Revit modelling & coordination which took me to Paris, Milan, Frankfurt, and the Cayman Islands. I returned to the UK at the inception of the BIM revolution and as I had already gained a great deal of experience as BIM lead on projects in the Cayman Islands working alongside American Architects, I decided to start my business to fill the gap in the market place for BIM specialists. I started the business in my converted double garage with no clients a high powered gaming pc and a dream, that dream evolved into what the business is today, employing ten permanent members of staff surrounded by technology, creating awesome 3D models, working with Microsoft Hololens, Virtual Reality technology, laser scanners, drones and all sorts of amazing software and tools for digital construction. My hope is that the business continues to work on interesting and exciting projects with clients who share the same passion for what we do.
