Working with various SME’s to improve business processes and assist with strategy most notably Advising a family owned business,circa £20m turnover employing 150 staff, on the strategic options for the business owners to release equity and hand over management to the next generation.Following an initial review of financial, operational and sales processes I worked with and mentored the MD designate to develop management structures and reporting regimes that would enable the business to grow and also stand scrutiny from third parties and potential investors. Namely • Detailed monthly management accounts at individual business unit level • Robust budget and forecasting models• Operational and financial reports to ensure effective running of the business on a daily basis.• Market Analysis and Sales pipeline • Bid process Worked with a newly formed Community Interest Company to build up portfolio of privately funded properties which are let to Local Authorities on long term leases for use as social housing.
