About Peter Fan
I am a data and software engineer with an interest in scientific software and large biological datasets. As an undergraduate, working in wet-lab scientific research, I became acutely aware of the challenges that bench scientists face in processing, analyzing, and managing their data. These formative experiences, struggling with makeshift software solutions at the bench, blossomed into a passion for developing tools and infrastructure to address unmet computational needs within the scientific community. I have worked with start-ups, pharma/biotech/healthcare companies, and academic research labs in pursuit of this goal. I\'m always open to new opportunities to sharpen my engineering skills and to work on projects involving scientific data (particularly in accessibility/reproducibility).Current Projects- Part-time graduate student @ Georgia Tech (remote)- Teaching breaking @ Northeastern University in partnership with The Flavor ContinuesInterests- healthcare informatics, bioinformatics, high-throughput sequencing, web3, start-ups
