Peter studied law at the University of Sheffield, then trained and qualified with Taylor Vinters in Cambridge. He has also spent time working in Brussels at Crosby Renouf, a boutique EU law practice. Peter returned to Sheffield to join Taylor & Emmet in December 2007, before joining Freeths LLP as a Partner in 2015, where he heads the Sheffield corporate team.Peter specialises in corporate finance. He acts for a wide portfolio of clients, from high-growth University spin-outs to multi-nationals.In 2020, Peter was shortlisted for the Insider South Yorkshire Dealmaker of the Year award. In 2022 his team was named Insider\'s South Yorkshire Corporate Law Firm of the Year.The 2024 Legal 500 states \"Peter Crawford brings the main issues to the fore and has a great commercial outlook\".
