Strong communicator with excellent motivational and organisational skills obtained over a period of 35 years including working within a multi-site, high volume International retail organisation. Organisation Developed and delivered a new training program within an organisation to enable branch teams to operate in an organised, better structured and highly efficient way. The program included stock management, communication, EPoS training and excellent customer service. Regional performance increased by 15%. Produced a program to easily identify, monitor and support the branch teams in their implementation of presentation, standards and understanding of customer requirements. This resulted in the region topping the ‘Mystery Shopper’ charts. Motivation Built up good relationships with area managers, branch teams and other departments by leading by example, being enthusiastic and attentive, not only to customers, but to colleagues as well. Communication Skills Presented the new Electronic Point of Sale system to Area managers, branch managers and team members through a series of conferences in 2003/2004. Devised and presented a number of options for increasing Christmas sales in the region to over 190 managers. This increased the sales by 11% on the previous year. Business development Launched a campaign of product diversification in order to gain a competitive advantage within the marketplace. Through extensive research we were able to highlight gaps in the market that we subsequently exploited. Operations Manager for a business that involved complete organising from general daily operations to HR and business development. Turned previous business bottom line of deficit into profit.
