ABOUT PETER CACKETT
Dr Peter Cackett is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in diseases of the Retina and works at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh where he is Clinical Lead of the Medical Retina Department. He trained in Ophthalmology in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and completed a Medical Retina fellowship at the Singapore National Eye Centre. He has now worked in the field of Clinical Ophthalmology for 25 years. He currently organises the Ophthalmology teaching module for the Edinburgh University medical students. He is also an aspiring author and journalist.
