Peter Buijs is a retired Finance and Operations Management Executive with 45 years of experience leading international development and humanitarian assistance programs. He continues to engage in the sector as a mentor and a member of the Board of Directors of Management Sciences for Health. Peter is a former Chief Financial Officer of CARE USA, the largest member of the CARE International Confederation. Peter also served CARE USA and other organizations for many years in senior management roles at the regional, country and program level in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean. Peter has a long history of leading multi-disciplinary teams in strategy development, operations management, driving organizational performance, innovation and learning across many different sectors. Developing teams, building partnerships, business savvy, mentoring peers and colleagues, and promoting good governance are among Peter’s strengths.
