VIP Global Studies & Fellows New America, Prof. of Practice Arizona State University, CNN national security analyst, author/editor of ten books, three of which were New York Times bestsellers and four of which were named among the non-fiction books of the year by the Washington Post. The books have been translated into 25 languages and adapted into 4 documentaries, 2 of which were nominated for Emmys and 1 of which won an Emmy. He has testified before US Congressional committees 18 times about national security issues, and he has held teaching positions at Harvard\'s Kennedy School and Johns Hopkins University\'s SAIS.
