I operate at the intersection of insurance, technology, operations and execution risk in legacy and run-off M&A transactions. Since focusing full-time on M&A in 2018, I have supported 34 completed transactions representing more than $20bn of reserves across the UK, US and international markets. My experience spans Loss Portfolio Transfers (LPT), Adverse Development Covers (ADC), Insurance Business Transfers (Part VII, RITC, IBT) and Share Purchases, supported by prior global IT leadership roles overseeing complex, multi-jurisdictional technology estates. My mandate is to ensure transaction structures are operationally executable and risk-aligned. I assess systems architecture, data integrity, cyber exposure, vendor and licensing constraints, and TSA dependencies to validate integration assumptions and ensure execution risk is clearly understood before commitments are made. In legacy transactions, value preservation depends on disciplined delivery — clean data migration, clarity of claims control, structured transition governance, and early identification of operational dependencies. I focus on pragmatic integration strategies and simplified target models that reduce friction, strengthen control, and minimise post-close volatility. I work closely with M&A, actuarial, legal and executive stakeholders to translate technical diligence into clear commercial decision frameworks and board-level risk articulation. The objective is clear: mitigate integration risk and enable clean, controlled transfer of liabilities.
