ABOUT PETER ATTIA
I am currently enrolled in my fourth professional year at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the Saint Joseph\'s University pharmacy program and will graduate in May of 2024. During my first two years at the University of the Sciences, I took part in undergraduate-based research that studied relationships between social-communication skills, motor skills, and cognition in people on the autism spectrum. We use a range of scientific approaches in an effort to disentangle the complex web of skills that are needed for successful social interactions. After my two undergrad years, I joined a research study involving Merck and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Our team researched and developed antibiotics before it became commercialized by Merck. The research study was based on the Stability of Imipenem/Cilastatin/Relebactam under different temperature and administration conditions and to determine the stability of imipenem/cilastatin/relebactam in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) infusion bags when stored at room temperature, refrigerated, frozen (in elastomeric infusion pumps) and in refrigerated continuous infusion devices. As a future PharmD, I am interested in pursuing a career in the industry and learning the different types of paths that I could take.
