I focus my practice on representing clients in trust, estate, and family and other closely-held business disputes, as well as other types of fiduciary litigation. I have represented fiduciaries and beneficiaries in litigation before courts in numerous jurisdictions, as well as in connection with out-of-court negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.I have substantial experience representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in various forms of trust litigation, including actions for breach of fiduciary duty, trust contests, contested accountings, trust construction suits, actions against fiduciaries arising under ERISA, actions involving the enforcement of in terrorem provisions, and defending trust assets against creditor claims. In addition, I have handled numerous estate litigation matters, including will contests, contested probate claims, and tortious interference with prospective inheritance claims. My experience with family and closely held business disputes has included succession disputes, appraisal litigation, breach of fiduciary duty actions, derivative claims, and accounting actions. I also write and speak regularly about fiduciary litigation and other legal issues that arise in the administration of trusts and estates.
