I started out as a business writer and editor2. While at Scrip Intelligence (Informa), I learned about the pharmaceutical industry from a macro perspective. In 2010 I discovered why rare disease is so important to the sector3. I moved into healthcare communications, joining Tudor Reilly Health just as the company was pivoting into patient recruitment. This allowed me to get to know pharma up close4. I supported Tudor Reilly Health in pursuing rare disease as a business strategy. I was a founding team member of Raremark. I became an advocate of rare disease research5. At Raremark I wore many hats: client services, content creation, quality control, internal R&D, business development … whatever was needed!6. I was part of Raremark’s management team (20•••••07. After Raremark rebranded as Xperiome, I led projects for pharma clients developing therapies for rare diseases8.
