ABOUT PETE BOMBACI

Pete Bombaci is a visionary leader and grassroots brand builder who combines strategic thinking with bold, innovative execution. With a unique ability to bridge purpose and performance, Pete brings a collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit to everything he does—whether scaling national movements or leading high-performing teams. He thrives at the intersection of strategy and heart, culture and community. With senior leadership experience across both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, Pete’s career has spanned sales, marketing, brand management, and executive leadership—including roles at major corporations, independent consultancies, and social impact organizations. He is known for his authenticity, persistence, and ability to rally people around a clear and inspiring vision. In 2016, Pete founded GenWell, Canada’s Human Connection Movement—a social health initiative more than a decade in the making. Sparked by the 2003 blackout that brought millions of people together, Pete was struck by a simple truth: human connection is not just a “nice to have”—it’s a fundamental pillar of our health, happiness, and longevity. What began as a passion project has now become a national charitable organization recently acknowledged by the World Health Organization for its pioneering work in the field of social health. GenWell’s mission is to make the world a happier and healthier place by educating, empowering and catalyzing people around the importance of face-to-face social connection and inspiring them to take action—whether through national campaigns, workplace, classroom and community social health workshops, or grassroots events. Pete’s experience in the sector is extensive. Prior to founding GenWell, he served as Country Director of Movember Canada, where he led the organization to become the top fundraising country in the world, raising $142 million for men’s health in under five years. Earlier in his career, Pete spent two decades in the beverage and hospitality industry, rising from bar staff to senior brand leadership. Today, Pete is a sought-after keynote speaker, writer, and advocate who frequently appears in national media to share insights on leadership, social health, and human connection. Want to connect?
