Currently leading a department of 75 analytical scientists with a $20M annual budget.Analytical Chemistry background as a scientist and people leader spanning regulatory, development and research of both pharmaceutical products and and synthetic drug substance. Experience leading inter functional research and development teams and facilitating IND/IMPD and global NDA filings.International leadership experience as the head of small molecule analytical chemistry at a regional drug development site (Merck in Hoddesdon, UK), as a director of commercial and developmental analytical chemistry at a biotech (PTC Therapeutics) and a regional Roche subsidiary (Genentech). Experienced in development of complex antibody-drug conjugates, polymer conjugates and inhalation. Experience with oligonucleotide delivery systems, including lipid and polymer nanoparticles, cell and gene therapy critical reagents.Experience in scoping, designing, staffing, developing, integrating and expanding an analytical research functional areas globally (Roche and Merck) and domestically at a small biotech company (PTC Therapeutics). Experience in global CMO and CRO engagement strategies to extend capacity, expand capabilities and drive productivity.
