ABOUT PETE SVENDSEN
As the Commodity Security Director at Chemonics International, I\'m responsible for collaboration between HQ-based global supply chain teams and country-based teams, to ensure the uninterrupted supply of health commodities to support HIV, malaria and family planning programs. In this role I support end to end supply chain data visibility and am the lead on tracking and reporting in-country commodity stock-out risks, developing rubrics and tools to evaluate and visualize this data. I also have over 5 years experience coordinating in-country logistic activities for USAID-funded supply chain funded programs, working with ministries of health, central medical stores, customs officials, and contracted logistics providers. In addition to the above roles, I recently completed a Minimasters in Supply Chain Management from W. P. My goal is to leverage my expertise and education to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of supply chains.
