About Pete Silverman
I’m a partner in the Toledo, Ohio office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick. I have substantial experience in the specialty areas of alternative dispute resolution and franchising and distribution, and serve as general counsel to Coca-Cola\'s dairy subsidiary, fairlife.I’ve been an active arbitrator since 1986 and mediator since 1990. I’m a fellow of the Commercial College of Arbitrators, and a member of the Large, Complex Case Arbitration Panel and the CPR panel. I was the initial appointed sole United States arbitrator on the Chair/Sole Arbitrator Panel of the European Union-based International Distribution Institute, which offers expedited arbitration for international distribution and franchising disputes. I\'m also a member of the National Association of Distinguished Neutrals.I founded the Early Dispute Resolution Institute, authored its Early Dispute Resolution Protocols (https://edrinstitute.org/latest-protocols/), train neutrals and advocated in the process nationally, and apply the process in all my mediations.
