Trent Design and Engineering (TDEL) were set up in 2014 as a viable alternative to the mainstream consultancy services with the objective of providing professional services using proven staff. Since TDEL\'s inception we have been involved in a wide range of projects in Europe and Asia and are constantly winning repeat business orders due to delivering proven, cost effective solutions. The projects range from simple design projects to providing lead ISA assessors for a variety of rolling stock projects.TDEL are based in their own their own offices in Nottinghamshire, we also have local workshop facilities. We have highly experienced staff who have been involved extensively in rail vehicle design over a range of projects from simple drawing updates, failure investigation to vehicle modifications and new concept design development. We have gained experience in delivering projects in the following areas;• Passenger train interior design• Passenger train saloon modifications• Passenger train driving cab modifications• Freight train modifications• Bogie design• Gauging and movement studies• Underframe equipment designContinual InvestmentTDEL are committed to providing ever improving services to the rail industry. TDEL have achieved ISO9001 certification and have an effective quality management system in place. We are also a verified member of the RISQS, RSSB railway suppliers scheme. TDEL invested in the latest CAD software in 2016 and have fully maintained software until 2023. TDEL also have the latest 3D printing capability so that produce 400mm3 parts that can be used to trial designs, reduce manufacturing risk and communicate designs with tactile objects.
