   Mr. Miranda is responsible for the Management and Implementation of both the Initial and Continuing Training Program for the members of the Operations and Maintenance Teams at the Nuclear Power Generating Stations. Accountable for all facets of training program management, implementation & compliance with industry and Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements including: • Lesson Plan content, development, technical reviews, revisions and approvals. • Recruiting and mentoring new instructors into the team. • INPO Accreditation Training Program Probation recovery efforts. • Management of the Training Department’s $10M budget. • Day-to-day oversight and management of a team of certified instructors whose principal tasks include the following: • Delivery of Integrated Plant/Systems training to prepare operators for field or control room plant operation. • Design and development of skills-training programs in accordance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Standards for initial and re-qualification examinations. • Development, administration and evaluation of written and oral examinations, to assess candidate\'s knowledge & skills development. • Training materials updates and revisions to reflect changes in plant design, current plant practices and/or operating philosophies. • Implementation of On-the-Job (field) Training & Evaluations. Additional on-going projects and activities: • Training for Human Performance Improvement Program • Management and implementation of company-wide Learning Management System (LMS) upgrades. • Member of the Training Improvement Metrics & Performance Monitoring Group. • International Training & Technical Exchange Visits in support of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO). • Member of the NextEra Corporate Community Ambassadors and Spokesperson Team.
