ABOUT PETE MILLS
Pete Mills is an experienced financial services industry executive with 35 years of expertise in public affairs, government relations, public policy and research, all in the mortgage finance arena. Since 2012, Pete has headed up the Mortgage Bankers Association\'s residential public policy group, including overseeing member engagement for key segments of MBA\'s membership, including Independent Mortgage Bankers, Community Banks and Credit Unions, and Warehouse Lenders. Pete\'s team also handles the Association\'s state and local government affairs function. MBA is the leading voice for real estate finance. Prior to joining MBA, Pete co-founded in 2009 the consulting firm Mortgage Banking Initiatives, Inc. where he managed two industry coalitions (the Community Mortgage Banking Project and the Residential Servicers Coalition) during consideration of the Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform Act, and served as a policy consultant to a handful of other financial services clients.
