SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER, HARDWARE PLATFORMSResponsible for Hardware Platform Architecture and New Product Introduction (NPI) development engineering projects for industrial HMI and Safety Controller product lines. Perform as Technical Lead for Hardware Platforms encompassing electronic, mechanical, and embedded software elements. Accountable for Functional Requirements Specifications, Hardware Architecture, High-Level System Design and Detailed Design elements across diverse teams located at various campuses world-wide. Perform a direct technical liaison role to cross-functional teams including Marketing, Software, Firmware, Test, Industrialization, Quality, Purchasing, and Manufacturing. Collaborate with internal sourcing teams and external suppliers for key commodities. Specify and coordinate design activities and deliverables with external engineering contract resources and design firms. Advise Project Sponsors and Business Stakeholders of project performance to plan. Identify risks and mitigation plans. Escalate issues for resolution action. Devise and implement acceleration methods to maintain and improve TTM. Prepare detailed project cost and resource estimates. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules including key dependency milestones. Forecast and track detailed project expenses and capital investment expenditures against project plans.
