ABOUT PETE GRIFFITHS

I have been a part of Toolroom for over 20 years, contributing to the growth of the label from its original founding team to a staff of 20+. As Label Manager and A&R, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with and help develop artists such as Mark Knight, Weiss, Dave Spoon, Prok & Fitch, Fedde le Grand, D. Ramirez, Michael Gray, Paul Harris, ATFC, Rene Amesz, Todd Terry, Bontan, Juliet Fox, and many others. In 2013, I helped launch our Artist Management division, Engine Room Management. As the companies first artist manager I helped develop, support & guide the careers of some of our roster’s most respected artists as their Direct Manager, including spearheading the launch and development of Weiss, and managing acts Juliet Fox, Adrian Hour, Prok & Fitch and more. In 2016, I was involved in launching the Toolroom Academy, directly developing our flagship courses and programs. Our goal is to open doors for new artists by offering high-quality music production tuition alongside a community where like-minded producers and artists can connect and grow. Through the Academy, we offer a range of on-demand tutorials, interactive programs, Live events, and even the world’s first record-label-based degree, all designed to support emerging talent in House, Tech House, and Techno. We also provide production tools and regular online and in-person events to help artists develop their skills. Our students have gone on to sign with leading labels, achieve major radio plays, perform internationally, and become part of a thriving global music production community. In my role as Head of A&R and Creative Director I draw on my industry experience to guide course development and mentor artists, helping foster the next generation of talent. With over 25 years in the music industry, my experience spans House music production, Artist Management, Event Management, Touring, A&R, Label Management, Brand Development, Marketing, Press & Promotions, Radio & Podcast Production, Music Education, and DJ’ing. I remain passionate about nurturing talent and supporting artists at every stage of their journey.
