Pete Gleason

About Pete Gleason

Pete was born and raised in New England, growing up in the hills of Maine. His days were spent building houses with his Dad. Also following moose through the woods. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Psychology from Loma Linda University in Southern California, where he worked as a faculty for 6 years before recently accepting a faculty position at Walla Walla University. Additionally, he works with local and international companies to improve employee efficiency through teaching skills in leadership, communication and conflict resolution. Pete and his wife Jeanine have a son, Sam, who is almost 2. Moving to Walla Walla has been their first experience with the Pacific Northwest. Jeanine is a midwife, and just this week assisted in her first Washington home birth, looking forward to many more. She is a strong advocate for women’s rights and autonomy, especially through the childbirth process. Leisure interests for Pete include sailing and diving and is working to develop his storytelling skills through writing. At his core, Pete is thrilled to watch people discover their personal strengths and potential. This first attracted him to psychology, and now drives him to be the best teacher he can be. Pete has zero background with Rotary, and became interested as a means of growing personal relationships while learning the unique needs of his new community.
