ABOUT PETE DENTON
Pete leads the Chesterfield Streets Team where he delivers projects for various clients within the private and public sector. He is an experienced project manager and his career path demonstrates professional development in the road safety and traffic management field with experience in various countries including the Gulf Region and Europe.He is a qualified Road Safety Engineer with over 20 years of experience and is compliant with the requirements of the UK DMRB Standard GG119 where he meets the requirements for a Road Safety Audit Team Leader. He is also on the approved list of road safety auditors to carry out work in Ireland and the United Arab Emirates. Pete is knowledgeable in all aspects of road safety engineering including collision investigation, road safety audits and the design of traffic and road safety engineering schemes. He has been involved in various schemes in both the UK and overseas including rural link roads, high speed dual carriageways, Smart Motorways, developer led schemes, junction improvements, traffic calming, signing and lining, traffic management and traffic signal schemes.Pete has completed the RoSPA 10 day course (in 2011) and has been awarded the Certificate of Competency as a Road Safety Auditor by the Society of Road Safety Auditors on the basis of a portfolio of evidence, meeting the requirements set out in IAN152/11. Pete is skilled in liasing with clients, promoting and supporting casualty reduction and collision prevention best practice to ensure road safety was incorporated into the design.
