ABOUT PERRY JOSHI-GODREZ

SHAREPOINT, OFFICE 365 AND AZURE I have been working with SharePoint since being asked to evaluate it in 2001. It was then in beta and named “Tahoe”. I have worked with every version since, performing every role from presales, business analysis, design, architecture, development and roll-out. I’ve trained and mentored developers, network administrators and end users. I think after all these years I’m beginning to get my head around it. SharePoint is such a diverse product that no two projects are the same. Some projects require analysis skills such business analysis, information architecture and devising taxonomies, while in others I’ve worked with Network Architects to configure Kerberos and to provide robust availability over several countries with thousands of users. More often it involves a range of skills from evangelising SharePoint’s benefits right down to writing web parts, workflows and master pages, using skills such as C#, ASP.Net, MVC, Angular, Bootstrap, JSon, JQuery, WCF, Windows Workflow Foundation, PowerShell, etc. Microsoft are blurring the boundaries between SharePoint, Office 365 and Azure. As SharePoint has moved into the cloud with Office 365, I have developed my skill set to include Azure architecture, development and configuration. Many of the skill in developing for SharePoint online are applicable to working with Azure but there are a whole host of new skills to learn.I am happy to work on small short projects or large complex ones. I am also happy to perform any role from a hands-on developer, Business Analyst, Project Manager; Solution Architect, etc. I have trained System Architects, Developers, IT Departments and End users. Nevertheless, I am always learning and developing my knowledge.
