Appropriations professional with bipartisan experience on the House Appropriations Committee. Current professional staff on the Agriculture and FDA Subcommittee, previous professional staff on the Energy and Water Subcommittee. Subject matter expertise in agricultural research, foreign food programs, FDA medical and drug issues, energy policy, science research policy, and nuclear regulatory policy. As a previous employee of the executive branch (Office of Management and Budget) and a current employee of the legislative branch (House Appropriations Committee), I have gained practical experience learning the budget and political process of our federal government from two distinct lenses. Within these broad fields, I have acquired specialized knowledge of both the federal budget process and the Congressional Appropriations process.
