Supervise a staff of 20, including 4 attorneys, 11 planners and 5 administrative staff. Chief advisor to City Council Members and the City Council Speaker on all planning/land use matters.Oversee all legal, planning and administrative activities for the City Council and its Land Use Committee, Zoning and Franchises Subcommittee and Landmarks Subcommittee.Chief negotiator for the City Council and its 51 Council Members for all planning/land use projects.Managed land use approvals for over units of housing between 2022 and 2025 including 5 neighborhood rezonings, major private development projects and the City of Yes zoning amendment.Helped approve the City of Yes zoning text amendments for Economic Opportunity and Carbon Neutrality, the most comprehensive reform of commercial zoning and resiliency/sustainability zoning provisions in the New York City resolution in decades. Led the development of 5 local laws: legislation creating NYC’s Fair Housing Framework and housing targets and NYC’s Industrial Plan and setting minimum benchmarks for affordable homeownership production, very low income units production and two- and three-bedroom units in City-subsidized affordable housing. Restructured the Division including a rebranding and the establishment and hiring and training of 2 new principal planner and 3 new community planner positions.Designed and implemented an evaluation module for all Division staff
