Provide pre-hospital medical care, including assessing the nature and extent of emergency situations, developing an initial plan of care to quickly stabilize patients in distress, providing life-saving medical interventions, determining the need for additional assistance, assessing conditions and responsiveness to interventions, and assisting with administering Advanced Life Support- In-depth understanding and compliance of current medical policies, procedures and protocols, complete patient care reports- Determine nearest, most appropriate, and available medical facility and provide safe patient transport for continuing care- Provide on-scene support to international sporting events, conferences, concerts, marathons, and large special public events- Based on demonstrated EOC and NIMS skills, selected as Medical Dispatcher and trainer for Lucas Oil Stadium Control Operations Center- Monitor public safety radio frequencies and center requests, dispatch appropriate EMS and ambulance teams according to acuity level, availability and team location while simultaneously maintaining radio contact and monitoring the status of all field units- Clearly communicate with public safety teams and support services to request and/or forward necessary information- Maintain accurate tracking records of incidents including location, response times, team number, chief complaint, and disposition- Developed medical dispatch response Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), detailed job aids and conduct on-the-job training- Participate in emergency response training and exercises mandated by the National Football League (NFL). Scenarios include active shooter, chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive terrorist attacks, and natural disaster response- One of four hand-picked EMTs to work on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Medical Pit Crew team as as as join the Indianapolis Colts on-field medical team. Team trains with Colt’s and NFL trainers.
