About Peri Peri Dwyer Dwyer Worrell
I am a freelance biomedical copy editor. I have edited articles published in JAMA specialty journals and numerous other refereed, indexed journals. I am familiar with the process of taking a raw scientific article and editing it, not only for quality and precision, but also to fit the submission guidelines for a target journal. For five years, I worked for Wiley Medical Publishing copy editing The Hospitalist, the monthly magazine of the Society for Hospital Medicine.I practiced chiropractic medicine in Tallahassee for 30 years but then became disabled by inflammatory arthritis. In 2015, I moved to Cuenca, Azuay, Ecuador, where I remained for a year; I then traveled peripatetically for two years and resided in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico from 2018 to 2021. Then the birth of my first grandchild brought me back to the great state of Florida.I am a writer and poet. My new novel, Sea of Lies, released August 1, 2025. My prior novels are available in e-book and paper at all major bookstores and local bookstores in the Tampa Bay region. My poetry has been published in Tiny Seed, Westerly, and The Five-Two, and short stories in Mystery Weekly, HOZ Journal of Speculative Literature, Crack the Spine, and Dime Show Review.I am an enthusiastic learner, having completed Acupuncture and Graston Technique certification, board certification in pediatric and prenatal care, and too many postgraduate seminars to list. My Spanish is adequate and enthusiastic, if at times comical. I have published peer-reviewed scientific research as well as articles, blogs, and poetry.I am a certified Private Pilot. I love to read, sew, and garden. I am married with four children and one grandchild.
