ABOUT PER GONÇALVES DA SILVA
A technology enthusiast from a young age, I started programming in Pascal and playing with BBSs around 7th grade. From frameworks to tools and devices, I enjoy learning and playing with any kind of technology. As my Honors thesis, I worked on an ant-foraging model. This experience sparked my interest in complex systems science, agent-based simulations, and especially biologically inspired algorithms. Over the years, I have also acquired extensive experience in Java development (SE, EE and ME), with opensouce frameworks (Spring, Wicket, Struts, Hibernate, OSGi, etc.) as well as with mobile and web development including iOS and Android. Lately I have also become increasingly interested in \"Big Data\", and I\'m looking into things like SAP HANA and Hadoop.
