As an Agility Coach I spend my time coaching and supporting Scrum Teams and managing a small team of Scrum Masters as they facilitate delivery within their teams. I alternate between coaching engineering teams on their Scrum technique to advising leadership on the best operating models and scaled agility approaches. I take a pragmatic approach to the application of agility in the Enterprise and foster an attitude of continuous improvement within the teams I coach. You will be experienced in coaching multiple Feature Teams at the same time, alongside the tools and the techniques required to deploy Agility at Scale. Continuous Improvement is a key skill and you must be able to foster that attitude within the teams you coach. This role requires a pragmatic approach to the application of Agility in the Enterprise as well as a high level of comfort in adapting approaches to fit the needs of the teams you work with, and the wider business.

I’m a Norwegian Glaswegian with over 25 years of experience in the software industry, including fifteen years as a software engineering lead and agile coach. Most of my career has been spent helping cross-functional software teams work better together by re-thinking the practice of software engineering as a team sport.As a software engineer, I’ve always been as interested in Improving the Way We Work as in Doing the Work. I focus on building collaboration skills of all kinds, ranging from core- and advanced interpersonal skills to redesigning workflows and processes to better support team-members working together to solve problems.
