ABOUT PENNY LIU
As the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs at Tufts Medical Center, Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, I engage in the quality, safety, and efficiency of the anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical and non-surgical procedures. I have more than 10 years of experience as a Director of Neuroanesthesia, leading the anesthesia care for complex neurosurgical cases at Tufts Medical Center. I am also a Fellow of the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors and honored to join other anesthesiology leaders that are committed to preoperative management. I have an Executive MBA from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, which has enhanced my skills in healthcare management, leadership, and strategy. My core competencies include medical education, patient safety and experience, healthcare management, and neuroanesthesia. I am passionate about advancing the quality and outcomes of anesthesia care, educating the next generation of anesthesiologists, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient experience and satisfaction.
