About Penelope Hernandez Alcocer
Hi! I’m a recent UCLA graduate with a B.A. in Linguistics and Chicano Studies, driven by a deep curiosity about how people communicate, express identity, and build community. I’ve always been fascinated by storytelling - whether it’s through language, culture, or creative media - and I love bringing that lens into everything I do. My love for fashion designing began in 2021, when I taught myself how to sew and started designing clothing as a creative outlet. What began as a passion project turned into a small business, where I shared tutorials, styled original pieces, and connected with a growing audience online. For me, fashion is more than just aesthetics, it’s a way to tell stories, celebrate identity, and build something meaningful from scratch. In addition to fashion, I’ve spent the last few years working in influencer marketing, partnering with over 50 brands — including Twix, Dr. Jart+, Fabletics, and Uber Eats. I’ve developed content campaigns, managed social accounts, and brought brand stories to life in ways that resonate with many diverse audiences. I’m passionate about creating work that’s strategic, visually engaging, and emotionally impactful. Whether I’m building a brand campaign or refining content strategy, I bring a collaborative mindset, creative energy, and strong attention to detail.
