ABOUT PEMBE GÜLKAN ÖZÜNLÜ

As an accomplished, multilingual Medical Doctor I am currently seeking to strengthen my role as clinical research physician in the Pharmaceutical Medicine sector in the UK. With an abiding interest and four years’ experience in research, I am comprehensively involved in Phase I and II clinical trials, specifically the screening of healthy volunteers and patients, both for trials and panels. I have developed my skills across the full clinical trials spectrum and is able, amongst others, to efficiently interact with GP’s and review GP letters regarding patients and volunteers. I also manage informed consent, review test results such as ECG’s and laboratory results; handle data management and all the clinical issues involved in clinical trials, including physical and neurological examinations. Other strengths I bring to the table include sound knowledge of medicines regulation, as well as good clinical practice (GCP) in pharmaceutical medicine and pharmaco-vigilance. These competencies are backed by experience of the assessment and reporting of adverse drug or dosing effects which enable me to contribute to safety reports. I have also developed strong communication and teamwork skills within different clinical and research settings and as a fluent communicator in English, Turkish and Russian, I easily interact with diverse patient groups.I have the flexibility and confidence to work for a local or global pharmaceutical company, or in a hospital-based NHS environment. I am also experienced in general practice, emergency medicine and orthopaedics.
