ABOUT PEDRO PORTO ALEGRE
I grew up in São Paulo, Brazil, and immigrated to Canada to pursue something that, at the time, I couldn’t quite put my finger on yet. That experience rewired how I see the world. You learn quickly what it feels like to see things from \"outside the fishbowl.\" To observe before speaking. To notice patterns, signals, tension. That perspective stayed with me.Basketball became my anchor. I played in college and still love the game. It taught me how teams actually work: different roles, shared standards, trust built through repetition. No shortcuts.I started my career at PepsiCo, moved across cities, provinces, and functions, and eventually became a brand manager. Real budget responsibility. Real pressure. Real lessons about what drives growth versus what just looks busy.Later, I moved back west to join the agency side. Today, as VP of Strategy at CULT Collective, I lead teams focused on marketing effectiveness and buyer psychology.I’m in love with strategy because it sits at the intersection of empathy and clarity. It’s the discipline of making sense of noise. Of helping teams focus on what actually matters.I’ve never believed in hacks. Not in basketball. Not in brands. Not in careers.Good things compound when you put in the reps over time.My job is simple:Help brands grow.Help teams think clearly.Help people reach their potential. The rest is secondary.
