ABOUT PHILIPP EBBECKE
My job life includes 10+ years of experience in the Wi-Fi world, covering hard- and software testing, product management, teaching & presenting and participation in task groups of trade organisations as as well as regulatory & spectrum management. At the beginning of my career, I was an engineer for Wi-Fi product testing and I build up my knowledge of 802.11 and Wi-Fi Alliance certifications. This knowledge enabled me to teach and consult others about trends and topics of Wi-Fi. It also enabled me to take part in work groups of Wi-Fi Alliance as well as the European regulation of spectrum (CEPT/ECC).As a project manager, I had the pleasure to lead a team of people from various departments to enhance the production capabilities of access points. This enabled me to put my project management skills into practice and work together with suppliers and partners.Due to the acquisition of LANCOM Systems by the Rohde & Schwarz GmbH, I was able to participate in the \"Go for LeadeRShip\" program that offers hands-on training and mentoring for leadership candidates. This training enabled me to be appointed as the group leader of Wi-Fi testing, a role that involved the disciplinary responsibility for the group members.Since I\'m not only interested in technical aspects, I always wanted to learn more about the commercial part of product creation and strategy. Therefore, I\'ve obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA). The skills that I learned during the courses have helped me to deliver input to the product management before joining Genexis as a product manager myself. As you can see, the combination of motivating, learning, teaching, and applying is my constant companion. This enables me to make good things even better and helps my co-workers to improve their own work. I am always curious about people and technology, which allows me to connect to people from various cultures and new technology trends quickly.
