ABOUT MARTY PEARCE
Marty Pearce is a seasoned public health epidemiologist with more than 25 years of experience defining requirements for designing, developing, implementing and supporting public health information systems across Canada and internationally (Pacific Islands, Bahamas, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Israel). He led the original requirements gathering for the Panorama Investigation and Outbreak communicable disease management functions and continues to support ongoing implementations across Canada. Marty is co-author of the World Health Organization’s “Pacific Immunization Reference Data Model”. In his role as an epidemiologist, Marty has been involved in many emergent situations including the SARS outbreak in Toronto where he provided emergency support to implement the integrated Public Health Information System (iPHIS) and Saudi Arabia’s Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) outbreak. More recently he has supported the World Health Organization, Public Health Agency of Canada, and Ontario Ministry of Health as a Public Health Strategic Advisor during the COVID19 pandemic.
