ABOUT ASHLEY KHAN

Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialized training in trauma-informed, attachment-based care for children, adolescents, and families. I bring a thoughtful, grounded, and relational approach to complex clinical work, with particular expertise in childhood trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, problematic sexual behaviors (PSB), and immigration-related stressors.My clinical background includes extensive experience in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), including TF-CBT for Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB), Child–Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Synergetic Play Therapy, with an emphasis on developmentally attuned, culturally responsive treatment. I work with children from early childhood through adolescence, frequently engaging caregivers as active partners in treatment to strengthen safety, attachment, and long-term healing.I am also trained in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), an evidence-based, collaborative approach to suicide-focused treatment. My work using CAMS emphasizes shared understanding, direct assessment of suicide risk, and identifying and addressing the underlying drivers of suicidal distress in a way that supports both client safety and therapeutic alliance.I am known for strong clinical judgment, thorough and compliant documentation, and the ability to hold both depth and structure in therapy—balancing evidence-based models with creativity, play, and authentic connection. Colleagues often describe me as calm under pressure, highly reliable, flexible, and deeply committed to ethical, high-quality care.In addition to direct clinical work, I serve in leadership and training roles, including providing reflective supervision to clinicians pursuing CPP certification. I value collaboration, mentorship, and systems-level thinking, and I am invested in helping programs grow sustainably while maintaining fidelity to best clinical practices.I provide services in both English and Spanish and am passionate about expanding access to trauma-informed, attachment-based care for underserved and marginalized communities. Long-term, I am focused on building and contributing to programs that prioritize clinician wellbeing, thoughtful supervision, and excellent care for youth and families.
