About P. David Hughes
I use direction, production, and education as tools to help artists better use their voice and impact the world around them. I build platforms for artists and make theatre happen. The work I do is meant to help people find their voice, ask better questions and to cause civil discourse in our society. For twenty years I have built events, acted, directed and developed creative projects. I also have a sales and business background that has supported some of these creative ventures.In 2016 I returned to school part time, then full time, to increase my creative skillset. I earned an undergraduate degree in theatre from Desales University, interned with multiple professional theatres, produced and directed more independent work, and then completed an MFA Directing with the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. I believe stories are important, that we are all stories in the end, and that telling stories can help people experience beauty, joy and catharsis. I believe these things are important in all of our lives. As I move forward I will use effective storytelling along with my business and event background to help people have better opportunities to express themselves; to \"be who they are and be that well\".#findyourlight
