ABOUT PAUL COCKERTON
I\'ve been a journalist for 24 years, including two decades working in digital. My time with the Mirror has now ended so I am tentatively starting the search for a new opportunity, something that I will live and breathe. In nearly 13 happy years at the Mirror, I worked my way up to become the Web Editor and then Deputy Editor of the Mirror. It was a role I was passionate about, looking after 100-plus journalists, hitting record traffic levels, helping to break some huge stories, and developing a ruthless knack for what readers want including relentless analysis of stats. Prior to my move to London I worked in regional news, at the Manchester Evening News and the Lancashire Telegraph.
