About Pierre Chaussalet

All along my career, I had the opportunity to work on many different projects types, in many different work environments, from small startups to very large organizations. It helped me develop an holistic understanding of software systems, from design to deployment and run, including maintainability and performance. I evolved from a pure tactical approach to a more strategical one, being in charge of subjects such as building scalable platforms, both in terms of features and size, identifying the right contributors to build highly efficient cross-functional task forces or helping individuals develop their skills in new or existing fields. I also favor an hands on approach, trying to spend as much time as possible with the team members to help them stay aligned with the product goals, even helping writing some parts of the system when needed. I am able to intervene on almost any part of the stack, from system level to frontend, which gives me the ability to not only design more consistent architectures, but also to challenge and review the implementation.
