ABOUT PETER CALAK

Peter Calak is a Real Estate Salesperson & Office Manager at Forestwood Real Estate, where he helps clients achieve all of their real estate goals using the latest technologies. Previously, Peter served as a Mobile Experience Manager at President’s Choice Financial, where he oversaw the strategy, design and usability of mobile banking apps with a focus on emerging payments and contactless mobile wallets. Prior to that, Peter managed the mobile and tablet web channels on the BlackBerry Digital Marketing Team. He led a cross-functional team and managed multiple agencies that designed, developed and continually optimized the BlackBerry mobile user experience.His intimate knowledge of the mobile space combined with a background in usability allows him to create immersive digital products and marketing campaigns optimized for the mobile context of use. He is best known for being a rockstar mobile UX evangelist, and bridging the gap between business, design and development stakeholders to create unforgettable experiences in the digital space.One of Peter’s greatest passions is social media and he is focused on integrating it into all digital channels. He is active in the usability community and often participates in mobile, digital marketing and emerging payments events.Peter holds a Master of Computer Science degree with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. His research interests lie in user-centered smartphone design for older adults.
