August 2024 - Present: PXF Smart ProductsPXF Smart Products own tooling for telemetry capture and A/B testing that enable teams to monitor and optimise their users’ online experiences by surfacing actionable insights. I\'m a proficient software engineer with a range of experience across various different areas, especially around building large scale data pipelines in the cloud to support machine learning. I lead my team’s technical strategy, work closely with management to influence my team’s product direction, and coordinate with senior engineers on other teams to help shape the wider org’s technical strategy. I advocate for high standards of operational excellence without compromising on delivery, driving and mentoring the teams and individuals I work with to achieve this. I also actively involve myself in wider company initiatives including hiring, mentoring/teaching, and organising events to help build a positive working environment.I also present tech talks about whatever I\'m interested in at the moment; feel free to get in touch if looking for speakers.I\'m also a professional musician (fiddle + piano) working mainly in musical theatre and the traditional music scene.
